Dave Rosenfeld

I think the violence is also tied in with fear of losing what we currently possess and jealousy of wanting something we do not have. What we, as a human generation, have not grasped over this lifetime is that we came into this world with nothing and we will leave this world with nothing.

I don't want to cheapen what awaits us in the next life, but being with God in Heaven reminds me of the Rent-A-Center commercials on TV. What we have been given to us by God in this life is temporary and we are only caretakers (stewards) of these possessions to help others in need. If we understand this simple fact, what a difference the world would be. The difference between the Rent-A-Center commercials and Heaven is that the debt has already been paid for by Jesus' death.
